Directions
Nuevo Portil is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes from both Seville and Faro International airports. Airlines compete for business and off season some very competitive fares can be found to both these airports from the UK and other European cities.
From Seville Airport:
On leaving the airport join the motorway by following the signs for Sevilla. Once on the motorway take the first exit which is sign posted for Huelva and follow the dual carriageway for several kilometres going straight through various roundabouts until you come to the Olympic Stadium. Take the left exit for all other routes including Huelva at the Stadium and then follow the signs for A49 / E1 motorway to Huelva.
Stay on this motorway and follow the signs for Huelva which branches off to the right. Once you are on the A49 / E1 and getting close to Huelva follow the sign posts for Portugal where the motorway divides into two. (Do not take the left fork towards Huelva as this will take you into the city).
Stay on the motorway A49 / E1 taking the motorway exit at junction 105, sign posted Cartaya Acceso Playas. Follow the signposts for El Rompido (E1311) going straight through several roundabouts, (including the Carrefour roundabout) and after approx 10 minutes you will approach a roundabout by a large sports complex, with only a left and right turn. Turn left here and head towards El Rompido.
Stay on this road for approximately 10 kms, Go straight through the first two roundabouts (at El Rompido golf resort and then at Marina) until you come to a third roundabout by the lighthouse. Turn left and continue along this road for a few kilometres You will soon see the sea on your right and pine forest on your left. Continue along this road until you see a large white hotel on your left with a copper dome on the roof and blue lit sign when dark. Turn left at the hotel into the Nuevo Portil Golf resort. Carry straight on to the first roundabout and turn left. Continue straight on for a short while and then turn right at the next roundabout. Residence Green 4 is the first urbanisation a short distance down the hill on the right hand side.
From Faro Airport
Follow blue motorway signs E-1/A49 Espanha. Continue straight on past Portugal signs, this should take approximately 10 minutes (11km) to reach the motorway.
It should take your approximately 30 minutes to reach the Portugal/Spain link bridge at Ayamonte. Stay on the motorway E-1 until junction 105, signposted Cartaya Acceso Playas.
